These are the times that try men’s souls, as Thomas Paine once wrote. Yes, these last two years have indeed been trying, but we deal with it however best we can and we endure. One way is to laugh as much as possible and how better to do that than with cartoons. Throughout the history of trying times cartoons have been there as an effective and low-priced cure for garden variety depression. It’s escapement for our souls from the ills of our environment. We can for a brief time step outside this world of Paine with the help of a funny scribble on a piece of paper.

AHA!

In its seventh year on AM Universal’s Gocomics website, Looks Good On Paper by Dan Collins is a comic strip like no other. Dan’s signature humor finds its way into your funny bone from so many different angles that it is difficult to categorize. He can be sweet and poignant one moment, snarky and wicked the next and wildly wacky in between. Add an occasional dash of current events, a pinch of politics and you start to get the idea that this comic runs the gamut of the gag galaxy!
