Three top 40 hits!

Last night Fun-E-Books had three of our titles in the top 40 sellers for cartoon ebooks on Kindle! Mine, Trosley's and Stromoski's. My second book More Cartoons...etc..." came in at 41 and Stromoski's second ebook was in the top 100 too. That is a gratifying feeling to see our books getting good sales. It's always a fluid list, changing every hour or so but I'm glad I caught the moment in a screenshot.
Marketing and making sure readers can find your books is always a hard job with the amount of ebooks that are coming out these days. There aren't a lot of sure bets and you just have to keep at it everyday hoping your efforts are having a cumulative effect but everything you do helps in some measure.
We are getting ready to work on a new ebook for a new client; one you might be familiar with from the funny pages of  the newspapers. More on that at a later date but we have high hopes for the success of his books.
Before you know it FEB Publishing could have a large number of titles in the top seller list, proving that an independent author or publisher can indeed find fame and fortune without the help of a major publishing company.  It's happened already and we're hoping it'll happen to us too!  Stay tuned!

Uncle Troz Needs You!

There are two things that help get a book noticed on Amazon and at other sellers: sales and reviews. Both generate recommendations, help your book show up in search results, increase the number of people that click on a book and ultimately generate sales.

If you've already bought a copy - THANK YOU! It means so much to Susan and I. You can buy a copy for yourself or give a copy as a gift to a friend ( you can give a Kindle copy to anyone with a Kindle, iPad or smart phone - just click Give as a gift and then provide their email address.)

If you've read HTD Cartoon Cars and enjoyed it, a positive review would be a tremendous help! It doesn't have to be long - a short rating is still powerful. Click "Create your own review" in the reviews area, select a ratings star and enter a short title and a few sentences. That's it!

If you haven't read it and still would like to give a quick review anyway based on your past experience of my work feel free to do that as well.

Thank you for all your help, it means a lot when a new ebook is just starting out to have folks just clicking on the listing to view it.  Or buying it!

Here's the link to my page on the website. You can find your device's seller button to go there and view it.

The HTD Cartoon Cars ebook is now live in the far east, Malaysia and so fourth. Gardner's in the UK went live a few days ago and now finally all link buttons are active on George's author page with Esentral ebook sellers.
Not quite sure how to market for foreign sellers. Gotta be something you can do! Social media reaches all over the globe so at least that's a start.

Trosley's Cartoon Cars ebook is now up on Gardner's. I know there is a currency difference in the UK but why is it so much on their site? It's like over $15!

No more Nooks

What is going on at Nook books? The CEO just left after a short stint while Nook is hemorrhaging money and has no plans to address the situation after a recent report. Our recent launch of Trosley's How To Draw Cartoon Cars was marred somewhat when they discounted the ebook right out of the gate resulting in Kindle's matching that price as they are prone to doing. Why they did that is unknown. What is known is that I have pulled the book from Nook's e-shelves in response and will no longer be dealing with Nook for new releases. Sales at Nook have always been dreary no matter the book and I will not forfeit money from Kindle sales which is the leader among all sellers. Nook appears to be in a downward spiral that is accelerating even faster than I predicted.
I have never liked their interface for my cartoon ebooks. For instance: you cannot just turn the page and go to the next chapter, you have to go back to the TOC and click to the next section in order to advance. I have heard of that occurring in the books of others so it is not a problem that only applies to my heavy image books. Their policy of offering free reads to people in their stores also irked me as a reader can get through a cartoon book easily in the half hour they are in the store. So why buy my ebooks when you can read them for free?
So Fun-E-Books will be a Nook free zone from here on out unless they can turn themselves around and start acting like they care about their authors and indie publishers.
No more Nooks!  No more Nooks!  No more Nooks!
