Finally getting back to work on new e-books after a particularly tough stretch we've all faced. It was bad for cartooning and e-booking from a creative standpoint. The energy was pretty much sucked out of the room and spent on useless endeavors such are politics and pestilence. One and the same as far as I'm concerned.
I have two e-books in the works; one in reflowable in InDesign and one in fixed layout with the great app Pubcoder. First book is a new Deluxe version of the very first e-book I made back in 2011. Cartoons That Will Send Me Straight To Hell, which has sold thousands of copies all over the globe and will have upsized images that accommodate today's high resolution screen devices. Back then e-books were low res and don't fill up the screen of a modern Kindle without zooming. I am throwing in 50 more cartoons and there will also be a special chapter on my career for America's First Amendment magazine and the iconic Mr. Flynt- with photos! Marking ten years of e-publication and still going strong.
The next in the Looks Good On Paper comic series of e-books is in production, showcasing the best from my Gocomics feature in HD cartoon splendor. The aptly titled 'AHA!' will hit the e-shelves in March with the other shortly after. We'll keep you all posted when they go LIVE. Stay safe and warm! -Dan
